I retired as International Operations Manager for MetService New Zealand Ltd at the end of 2007 having lived and worked extensively in the Pacific Islands assisting in the development of the the SW Pacific Meteorological Services.
As well Meteorology, I have qualifications in Radio, Digital Electronics, Computer Hardware, Software and Network Engineering. My base is Cromwell the most inland town in New zealand in the picturesque mountain lake region of Central Otago.
The beautiful islands of the SW Pacific are particularly vunerable to climate change, climate variability, natural disasters and sea level rise. Working now as an ICT Consultant I continue to work with international agencies to assist these nations improve their Information & Communication Technologies to meet these challenges.
